First Day of Filming (Problems)

Our first day of filming became problematic as it became to be a day of trial and error. We decided on a classic shot in a forest setting, travelling back lighting to establish the trees, but also to provide extra lighting for the footage, for the being of our music. This was short run as it wasn't possible to get the generator to the location.
Secondly, the actors we originally chose for our music video production were not suitable  for our music video but also became unreliable. Therefore we had to change our actors at short notice.
When eventually we got to filming, the lighting soon became an issue. As the nights were drawing in, due to the time of year, natural lighting became limited. As the twilight drew in, the filming became difficult and the footage was very dark and key elements such as the actors, especially the male character, as he was in dark clothing, was hidden behind the darkness.
In repose to these many problems we occurred, we re-thought about different elements to use the time we had in the next time of film to be more effective and getting using decent footage that could be used. Such as...

  • Recording at an earlier time as we can depend on post production too give a darker effect if needed but also get more footage.
  • Consider the actors in which would suit the music video but also be reliable.
