As it became apparent that day light was limited, we overcame this problem by filming at an earlier time than than we had before. This was great news as we got the rest of the footage of the narrative that we needed. As the narrative of our music video goes deeper in the woods, daylight is blocked out due to the dense woodland. This became a problem that didn't cross our minds as light became limited once again. As you can see the brightness of the music video decreases. Here are different screen shots from different parts of our Music Video.
Furthermore, in the last image a touch was used to highlight the protagonist figure as on previous attempts without the touch, the figure could not be seen. For the worst of the footage, we addressed this matter by post production techniques, as brightness can easily be raised in the editing process but this was only at a last resort as the footage itself would become grainy and unclear. This on the other hand could show how the protagonist is gradually being taking over or being possessed by the antagonist.
Extra footage that we filmed such as the falling leaves had been changed. Problems of this footage became difficult due to the moisture of the leaves, they began to clump in our hands and remained in that clump as they fell. This therefore made it unrealistic and therefore the footage on the left was taken out. The footage on the right however had proven a success and was used within our music video.
Personal touches such as the clock face that was used, one thing we change was the colour of the clockface was taken away and was made very dull, we brought up the brightness and colour back into the footage. Further more the clock was edited so that only the clock face was visible. The darkness of the background and how it highlighted just the clock face looked too harsh in comparison to the rest of the footage before and after where this scene would be inserted. Therefore we brought back the natural background of the footage itself. This thankfully was leaves and suited perfectly.
Within our music video card footage was a key item that we considered necessary. In our rough cut the footage of falling card were used. Within our final cut we decided to rake them out as the clip looked very amateur and staged. We wanted it to look professionally and used the card in a different way such as in the insect scene.
