Digipack Brief

Now that we had a finished the Music Video, our attention now was devoted to come up with and produce a Digipack and advert/ poster. My group and I through of some idea of ourselves and then talk and combined our ideas. We had been told that the digipack that we had to make wasn't a 'single' so therefore it had to be suitable for various tracks. This therefore we couldn't incorporate screenshot or aspects from our music video within the digipack that were specific to the track itself.
With some of the boundaries set, we had to look at different aspects then our music video. We then turned to look at the other tracks that 'Rabbit Pudding' have produced to see if there was any clear connection to each song or a theme of some sort. This lead was unsuccessful and we had to go down an alternative route.
Using a rabbit was a main idea as it has an obvious connection with the band name and the title of the song itself, coincidence. We then looked back to the website to see if or not the band had a 'star image' if it were, for themselves. And in fact they did.
As you can see this is a very different design and idea to along the lines we started off with. The imagery and selected bits used are quite peculiar and random. We took some aspects from this and discussed designs such as the suit.
Other aspects as well like the title, it many seem, on there image had to be considered. "If you're a phyco and you know it clap your hands". This from the start is an old nursery rhyme that has been changed to a more comical tone to it. This lead to us thinking of a more alternative and a disturbed look to the digipack cover. From this we had to look at some other album/ digipack covers that has this 'disturbed' look.
