Props and Equipment

Within our music video we use various props but there were two main props.
The gas mask was a prop used throughout our music video as the female antagonist wears this to create a distortion of her character. Furthermore, the nature of the gas mask in which the eyes are the only facial feature visible, hiding the identity a person, perfect for an antagonist character. Also as a gas mask is associated with war and the distress of war, but furthermore being in the sense of danger.

Also continuing with the antagonist character, to add a clear contextual reference to our music video, she will be place in a Alice In Wonderland costume dress. The light colour of the blue and white suggests a sense of innocence and purity to the character as Alice is within the film. As, one of our crew members made this possible as she had an Alice In Wonderland costume already which is similar to the one bellow. Which was given to the female actress to wear.

The juxtaposition of these two items and the connotations they suggest, changes and challenges the representations of the whole character. From this the audience will make an opinion of their on the on this character.
